Art Therapy

Move out of your head and into your hands.

Art therapy is a dynamic approach to therapeutic exploration through creative modalities for adults, teens & children. Art therapy is a hands-on adaptation to a traditional therapy session.

Individual ART THERAPY

Mindfully Active offers individualized art therapy sessions that provide a unique and valuable intervention for those who may find it challenging to open up in traditional talk therapy. Art therapy blends evidence-based therapeutic techniques with the creative process, allowing individuals to express themselves in a non-verbal and intuitive way. This approach can help uncover deep-seated emotions and thoughts, facilitate self-discovery, and promote healing. Suitable for all ages, art therapy encourages personal expression, reduces stress, and enhances emotional well-being. Common symptoms treated with art therapy include anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral issues, social anxiety, addiction and substance abuse, cognitive challenges, and chronic pain and illness. Our skilled art therapists guide you through this creative journey, helping you explore and address your inner experiences in a safe, supportive environment. Our therapist’s Master-level trained and certified in art therapy are Abbie Brewster, Emmalyn Kelly and Kelli Karver.

Group Art Therapy

Mindfully Active offers art therapy groups that will vary in duration, age, themes & art materials. Most group sessions will be structured with a theme and project. Art therapy groups will explore specific topics that align with the core theme of the group. Through the process of creating art, members of the group will explore areas of mental health and identify goals for growth.
